AKC and other Registries
There are Four (all-breed)reputable kennel registries in our opinon
AKC(The American Kennel Club)CKC (Canadian Kennel Club)/FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale) & UKC (United Kennel Club)
Most others such as CKC (Continental Kennel Club), UKC (Universal Kennel Club), WWKK, (World Wide Kennel Club), etc, are fly by night kennel clubs, that do not support responsible breeding practices. Also APR(American Pet Registry) is known for a large "puppy mill" follwing! Note how they try to use the same initials as reputable clubs? They don't have stud books, they will register any dog that looks like a purebred, they do not have accurate records on pedigree's, etc. Below are some sights for your info!
